这不是nordvargr最好的,但同样也是一张可以令人"头晕目眩"的dark ambient,对极大多数人来说,听完它是一个奇迹.

I was anxious to hear this disc. Dark Ambient has always appealed to me, and the cover art that adorns this disc suited the idea that I had in my head of this disc perfectly. When I looked at it I expected to hear a very bleak, eerie and tortured disc. Instead, I was met with a very minimalistic, very airy and sometimes dark disc, which ultimately comes off as boring. There's simply too little going on in order to keep the listener's interest.
To be completely honest, it was almost unbearable to get through the disc. Even from the opening seconds of the first track I wanted to turn it off. It's not that there's nothing bad going on, it's that there's nothing going on. This disc is plagued with long, dreary passages that in the end seem to serve no point. This is definitely not the kind of disc you put on for it's sheer enjoyment value, but instead seems to serve better as a disc to simply play as background music for when surfing the 'net, or something similar, as it does not demand much of your attention. Even at that though, it descends so deeply into nothingness that it becomes pointless to have on.
This disc, in essence, serves the same purpose, but is less interesting than the background music at the Relapse website. (Online March 11, 2003)
